Four characteristics of national honor society
Hi! I got invited to something at school called "National Honor's Society" and I am required to write a 1,000-word essay including why I should/ want (to) be in NHS, a challenge l've overcome and something I'm very proud of. Due to my teachers not being allowed to help students because it could interfere with voting and choosing the students, I can't get much help. But my guidance counselor said she could help me with it by revising it once I've written it. I had a very big mental health issue around this time (Winter) last year where I had two failed suic*de attempts, and that I should write about learning English as a Venezuelan-born immigrant. She told me it'd be good to use these two big experiences in my life to stick out and write an essay that makes people cry (told me to not be modest in the requirements.) I have this due on Friday, (the 16th) However, I don't want to write this essay by saying "My name is..." to start it. What other ways can I write this essay to begin it? A good hook, followed up by introducing myself. Thank you!
I should be a member of National Honor Society because I am an exemplary student who cherishes the qualities of respect, honesty, responsibility, trust, and fairness. NHS would be an opportunity for me to not only expand my horizons, but to also
